IMESA Pre-Conference Workshop
The SALGA/WRC Municipal Benchmarking Initiative (MBI) will host a two-day benchmarking workshop on 21 and 22 October 2013 at the Boardwalk Hotel & Conference Centre, Port Elizabeth. The workshop will form part of the pre-conference activities of the IMESA 2013 Conference.
Municipal Engineers, Municipal Officials, Municipal Councillors are encouraged to contribute to this dynamic and practical workshop focusing on key municipal benchmarking learning’s and progress including: improving efficiency and effectiveness through performance benchmarking, peer-to-peer operational knowledge sharing, and
benefiting from municipal peer group networks. The workshop will aim to cover all 6 benchmarking modules (i.e. (1) Water Conservation and Demand Management, (2) Human Resources and Skills Development, (3) Operations and Maintenance, (4) Service Delivery and Backlogs, (5) Product Quality, and (6) Financial Management) and also include training on the web-based benchmarking tool, Munibench. The workshop is an ideal opportunity to network, catch-up with old acquaintances and learn how they are progressing with tackling water services delivery challenges.
