Water Services Authorities will be pleased to hear that the Municipal Strategic Self-Assessment has now been web-enabled via the eWQMS. 

The MuSSA is a municipal self-assessment, management and development tool for WSAs to help them identify their WSA business development gaps and vulnerabilities arising there from. The MuSSA serves four primary purposes: 

• Supporting the development of local government through the assessing of their Water Services Business Health and flagging of any Vulnerabilities  
• Benchmarking local government performance against local, regional and national established standards
• Informing regional and national policy-makers on the state of Water Services Business Health in local governments
• Contributing towards the Local Government Turn Around Strategy

Responsible officials are urged to go to the Risk Toolbox component of the eWQMS and complete the survey (it usually take less than 1 hour to complete!).
